
John Carse has been hired as Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at SquareX. With over two decades of cybersecurity experience, Carse will serve as a strategic security advisor to SquareX’s enterprise customers, helping them strengthen their browser security posture.
Throughout his distinguished career, Carse has established robust security frameworks across diverse geographies and industries, ranging from the U.S. military to finance and technology companies. His global security leadership spans globally recognized brands including Dyson, Rakuten, and Expedia. Most recently, he served as CISO at Dyson, where he was honored as the Cybersecurity Defender of 2023 for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, as CISO for Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Symphony, he led IT engineering and operations for the world’s first fully virtualized Open RAN mobile network.
As Field CISO, Carse will provide strategic security guidance to SquareX customers, conduct security assessments, and help clients develop comprehensive browser security roadmaps. He will share industry best practices and threat intelligence while assisting customers in meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
